Red light therapy for inch loss
Red light therapy (or low level light therapy) is proving to be a successful tool to efficiently destroy unwanted fat. This treatment creates micro pores in the membranes of fat cells, allowing the fat to flow out of the cell. From there, the lymphatic system safely removes the fat from the body.
At Lohi Lipo Laser, we offer a state of the art device, called the NovoTHOR lightpod, to supply both red and infrared wavelengths of light to the whole body. Our lightpod safely and efficiently removes excess fat from the body. In addition, it stimulates the mitochondria (or powerhouse) of your cells to help jumpstart cellular metabolism.
What type of results can I expect from the lightpod?
Here at Lohi Lipo Laser, our client’s experience significant inch loss results from our lightpod protocol, especially around the midsection. With that said, we are big believers in only offering devices that’s safety and efficacy is backed by quality research. This device doesn’t disappoint.
For example, a 2017 randomized controlled trial (the gold standard in research) of 20 participants with a BMI between 30-40 found an average combined decrease of over 4 inches in body circumference, combined with placebo. After two-weeks following their treatments, these individuals experienced a combined total loss of nearly 6 inches.
In addition, a 2019 study of 60 participants with a BMI between 25-29.9 found those who received lightpod treatments twice per week for 6 weeks lost an average of 3.5 inches in their waist circumference and 2.2 pounds of weight per week. These people also experienced a significant improvement in quality of life, body satisfaction, and body appreciation.
How long does it take to see results?
Our lightpod protocol offers an effective way to safely remove excess fat from the body, quickly. For optimal results, client’s typically require anywhere between 6 to 12 sessions. Depending on your specific protocol, treatments may take anywhere from 8 – 20 minutes to complete. Each treatment creates micro pores in the fat cells, essentially destroying the contents. Our Wellness Director recommends spacing treatments out every other day to ensure optimal fat loss results.
Client’s may see results in as little as two weeks from their final treatment. For those that maintain moderate physical activity and healthy eating habits, fat loss can continue for up to four weeks.
